“BetterBuild Guaranteed Build Time”
Terms and Conditions - Queensland 5th March 2013
1. Offer applies to new home Building Contracts with Sekisui House, signed by both parties and which have become unconditional.
2. We guarantee a build time of 18 weeks on single storey homes and 22 weeks on double storey homes, subject to these conditions and the terms of your Home Building Agreement. If we do not meet that guaranteed build time, we will make payments to the owner in accordance with these terms.
3. A “week” is 7 calendar days and so 18 weeks is 126 days & 22 weeks is 154 days however if there are public holidays in the period of 18 weeks or 22 weeks, the number of public holidays are added to 126 or 154 days. See also condition 10 below.
4. Delays in accordance with Clause 10 of the building contract (e.g. inclement weather or the effects of inclement weather) will be added to the applicable guaranteed build time.
5. The build time starts from day on which the pouring of the house slab is completed.
6. The build time ends on the day of handover.
7. The day of handover is the day on which the handover process is completed. If the owner does not make the final payment in full on that day, the customer will lose all entitlement to any payment under this offer.
8. The Handover date is the date nominated by Sekisui House as the ‘Handover date’.
9. Subject to the above, $350 will be paid to the customer for each complete week that is over the guaranteed build time and up to a maximum of 10 (ten) weeks in total.
10. Any amounts paid under 8 above will be paid into the customer’s nominated bank/credit union account after handover.
11. We are entitled to a three week extension to the guaranteed build time should construction be underway over the Christmas period (as determined by Sekisui House).
12. The 18 week guaranteed build time for single storey homes and 22 weeks on double storey homes is valid for homes built within the Sekisui House metropolitan build areas, as determined by Sekisui House.
13. Offer does not apply to Sekisui House pre-planned product or stock homes and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer unless specified by Sekisui House.
14. Jobs requiring landscaping, driveway and/or retaining walls post slab pour are excluded from the 18 week & 22 week build time offer.
15. Any unauthorised work on site or on the house, by the owner, will negate the 18 week & 22 week build time offer.
16. Any owner supplied items to be supplied (delivered to site) within 3 working days of request from site, if not, negates the 18 week & 22 week build time offer. Intention to supply and details of items to be provided by the owner at Contract Signing.
17. Owner contractors (including full details of contractors), insurances and scope of works to be available at Contract Signing. Full scope of works and specification of work being undertaken is allowed for in design. If these details are not provided by owners, and the owner’s contractors do not start within 7 days of call up, the 18 week and 22 week build time offer will become invalid.
18. Offer only valid for home designs from the Blueprint Collection and Arise Collection.
19. Offer valid for single storey contracts up to $220,000, and double storey contracts up to $260,000
