Sekisui House was proud to be the principal sponsor of this year's Castle Hill Country Club Charity Day which was held on Friday 14 October 2016 in Baulkham Hills.
The event is the Castle Hill Country Club’s annual fundraising drive, with this year’s major beneficiary being the Positive Vibes Foundation, who works with the community to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma around mental illness.
The $10,000 funds raised was secured via a ‘beat the pro’ competition on the 4th
hole, a ‘longest drive’ competition on the 10th
hole, and silent and live auctions. 117 people participated in the golf competition throughout the day.
The event commenced at noon and was followed by a BBQ buffet dinner with Master of Ceremonies Ray Hadley.
Sekisui House Australia CEO and Managing Director Toru Abe said this contribution is part of Sekisui House’s corporate social responsibility strategy.
“We seek to support reputable charities within the local communities in which we build our master-planned projects. We recently acquired an 8.1-hectare site located right beside the fairways of the Castle Hill Country Club for our new development ‘The Orchards’, so this partnership made perfect sense,” Mr Abe said.
“With all our projects, we seek to showcase our inherent values of developing ecologically sound communities where residents can entertain, play, reflect and energise. We have a genuine commitment to creating environments that engender a real sense of community.”
“We believe mental health is key to developing any harmonious community, so we are proud to be supporting such a worthy cause as the Positive Vibes Foundation,” Mr Abe added.
Positive Vibes Foundation spokesperson, Roger Allen, said it was a great experience to have been involved with the Sekisui House’s charity day at Castle Hill Country Club. “The funds raised will support Positive Vibes Foundation to deliver programs to de-stigmatise the negative views associated with mental health” he said.
