SHAJU Verghese and his family moved to Brisbane from New Zealand last year for the sunshine, but it was the green space and a sense of community that led them to finally settle at Ecco Ripley.
“We really wanted to buy a brand-new house in a brand-new estate and that’s what we’ve found here at Ecco Ripley,” said Mr Verghese.
“But it’s the peace and quiet that we really love. We are surrounded by all the great things we need in life, but we are still far enough away from it all.”
The Verghese family bought a Sekisui House fit-and-finished four-bedroom home at Ecco Ripley and moved to the growing community in February. The Norfolk design, from Sekisui House’s Arise Collection is the perfect family home offering a spacious open plan living area combining the kitchen, dining and family room, covered outdoor living area ideal for year round entertaining, and careful separated living and sleeping areas.
“It’s a great estate that we really fell in love with from the very beginning,” said Mr Verghese.
“We love the concept of modern living, and what we like about Ecco Ripley is that it’s brand new but we’re not living in a concrete jungle.
“There is so much green space with lots of parks and walkways. This community is very well planned with smart technology, and a great place to raise my three children.
“We quite often go for evening walks as a family to enjoy the natural environment, and we have found that everyone is so friendly.”
After living in England before moving to New Zealand, the Verghese family also have developed an appreciation for the local sunshine.
“Queensland is the sunshine state, and now we realise how true that is,” said Mr Verghese.
“I have never seen such an amazing place which offers consistently great blue sky.”
Mr Verghese said he was looking forward to the evolution of Ecco Ripley, including the planned development of the Ripley Town Centre.
“When we looked at the plan for the estate and the town centre, we realised it had everything we could want,” he said.
“Having the town centre close to where we are living is very exciting.”
