Villaggio at Ryde Parramatta Golf Club
new dining destination

Melrose Park residents have a new dining destination on their doorstep with Villaggio recently opening at Ryde Parramatta Golf Club, within a few minutes’ walk from the community.
The restaurant is the latest venture from hospitality brothers Simon and Harry Kanaan, who bring more than four decades of experience to Sydney’s food and entertainment industry. Villaggio is the fifth venue under the Villaggio hospitality group, joining restaurants at Richmond Bowling Club, Blacktown RSL, Merrylands Bowling Club and Wests Ashfield Leagues.
For Simon and Harry, the new venue represents an expansion of their restaurant experience and an opportunity to create a welcoming destination for the local community.
“We have always loved the club environment, but this venue felt different. It is more like a homestead overlooking the golf course. We see our newest Villaggio becoming a family restaurant where people can relax, enjoy great food and spend time together,” Simon said.
The brothers’ journey into hospitality began more than 40 years ago working in their family’s pizza shop in Lidcombe. Over the years they operated a variety of businesses before returning to their passion for food and opening their first Bellagio restaurant in Revesby in 2011.

Today their venues are known for generous portions, lively atmosphere and a menu blending Italian and Mediterranean influences with their Lebanese heritage.
Guests at Villaggio can expect award winning pizzas, home-made pastas, seafood dishes and Mediterranean favourites designed for sharing. One of the most popular dishes is “Harry’s Pasta”, a seafood linguine with olive oil, garlic and chilli.
“Our food is generous in size. People quickly realise the portions are big, so they start ordering a few dishes and sharing them around the table. That’s exactly how dining should be,” he added.

Overlooking the greens of Ryde Parramatta Golf Club, the restaurant’s veranda offers a relaxed setting that Simon believes will be especially appealing in the evening.

Simon added, “We love being part of the neighbourhood. Our goal is to create a place where people can come with family and friends, enjoy great food and feel part of the community.”
For Melrose Park residents, Villaggio adds another convenient food amenity just minutes from home, offering a welcoming local spot to gather and dine.
