Convenience and tranquility: the best of both worlds

At completion, The Hermitage will be transformed into a 307 hectare community that encourages a sense of healthy, active living, with ample green spaces and over 50 kilometres of shared pedestrian and cycle pathways.

Residents will also benefit from the convenience of a planned 7.5 hectare heritage-inspired Gledswood Village, including boutique shopping, cafes, restaurants and community facilities. Two premium golf courses and a 1,000 student Primary School will also be delivered as part of the masterplan.

Gledswood Hills Reserve

Underpinning all aspects of design is the Japanese concept of ‘satoyama’ (sa-toh-yah-mah). This term refers to connecting people through ‘ribbons of green’ and is demonstrated by future Gledswood Hills Reserve - a three kilometre, purpose-built ‘green corridor’, that will traverse the development from north to south.

35ha of parkland and green open spaces

An active, outdoor lifestyle is literally on your doorstep, with over 50km of shared pedestrian and cycle pathways meandering through 120 hectares of green space, including 35 hectares of dedicated open parklands.

Proposed Gledswood Village

Gledswood Village is set to become the authentic civic heart of The Hermitage community and a great new local destination for the Camden region. It will be a multilayered precinct delivering a diverse range of retail, entertainment and community services, a diverse range of places to live, high quality public spaces and a mix of community events and activities.

Future primary school

The future Gledswood Hills Public school is located adjacent to the future Gledswood Village and will accommodate approximately 1,000 students. First classes are expected to be operational in 2021.

Future Greg Norman 9 Hole Golf Course

Stretching over 1,365 metres, with an average distance of 152 metres for each hole, the golf course will also include a commercial driving range, practice facilities and clubhouse. Construction is underway and the course is expected to be playable in 2018.

Gledswood Homestead and Winery

With a rich story telling history dating back to 1788, The Hermitage proudly celebrates its origins, retaining the original Gledswood Homestead.

The location

Conveniently located within Sydney’s South West Growth corridor, The Hermitage, Gledswood Hills enjoys proximity to a range of existing and future retail, healthcare, entertainment and educational facilities. With a forecast population increase of 300,000 by 2031, this region is set to become Sydney’s largest residential and employment centres.

Current and upcoming major road upgrades to the area will make The Hermitage, Gledswood Hills even more accessible, with the widening of Camden Valley Way improving connectivity to the Hume Highway, M7 and M5. The new south west rail link also means improved connectivity to major employment centres, including Liverpool, Parramatta and the Sydney CBD. Gledswood Hills is also just a short distance from the future Western Sydney Airport, which is earmarked to deliver enormous growth to this flourishing area of Sydney.
