Hitachi signed an agreement with the New South Wales government last week on the development of the Western Parkland City and Western Sydney Aerotropolis by signing to be the first tenant, with a collaboration and research centre generating hi-tech jobs.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian welcomed the move with great enthusiasm, describing the investment to the
AFR as a “great boost for Western Sydney”.
Areas identified in the agreement include collaborations in healthcare precincts, operation facilities in heavy engineering, and the development of a technology-led centre of excellence in the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.
The Aerotropolis and the region surrounding the airport is a priority for both state and federal governments, attracting public investment of more than $20 billion across transport, health and education infrastructure according to
The Urban Developer. Due to begin operations in 2026, the Aerotropolis is less than 15 kilometres from the The Hermitage at Gledswood Hills. For more details, please call the sales and customer relations team on
