Sekisui House Australia has achieved strong sales success this year at their masterplanned community, The Hermitage at Gledswood Hills, and is releasing a selection of brand new split-level SHAWOOD terrace homes to keep up with demand. The precinct of new SHAWOOD homes is known as Aspect.
The Hermitage has seen a 97 per cent increase in sales numbers from May to August, when compared to the same period in 2019. As a result of this recent demand, Sekisui House has brought forward the release of 21 split-level SHAWOOD terrace homes, plus six detached houses, located adjacent to the future Greg Norman golf course.
Sekisui House Australia’s Sales and Marketing Director, Craig Barnes, said, “We’ve experienced consistent strong sales success and heightened levels of enquiries at The Hermitage in recent months despite COVID-19, with sales almost doubling from this time last year. Buyers seem to be showing an encouraging level of confidence in the South West Sydney market and are eager to secure property within this expanding region. To cater to this demand, we have chosen to bring forward new releases of SHAWOOD homes at The Hermitage, previously forecasted to be “on market” in 2021.”
“We are constantly testing new innovations in home design and are proud to be offering our first ever SHAWOOD split-level terrace homes in Australia. These uniquely designed residences offer distinct architectural diversity to the market catering to a broad demographic, whilst still being within an accessible price point for astute first homebuyers.”
The new homes embody SHAWOOD’s thoughtful design, intelligent spaces and enhanced levels of internal comfort and livability, with designs that fit seamlessly into the surrounding environment. Using Sekisui House’s innovative pre-engineered structural framing system, the terraces not only deliver millimetre perfect calibration and ultimate strength, but also beautiful and functional structures that raise the bar for home building in Australia.

Priced from $699,000, all terrace homes in the precinct offer three well-proportioned bedrooms, integrated living zones and garage car parking. Residents will benefit from Sekisui House’s careful consideration of the key home design principles of health and wellbeing, thermal comfort, acoustic comfort, passive design and energy efficiency to ensure the optimal living experience. The terraces deliver an abundance of natural light, cross ventilation, premium appointments and sustainable features.
Andre Byczkov and his three children love their 4-bedroom SHAWOOD home at The Hermitage. “As soon as I walked into The Hermitage, I could see the level of quality and thoughtful consideration in every detail of the homes and the community. I was so impressed and had never seen anything like it within the homes we were viewing at the time. It’s also a perfect location, close to a range of facilities including shops and local schools. Our house is opposite the park, which is great for the kids, who also love the many cycleways encouraging us to get out and be active.
“I love the SHAWOOD design, because it’s so unique to anything else on the market and had one of the best internal layouts with spacious rooms, exposed timber beams and flexible spaces. I was also drawn to the innovative construction technique as it improves the longevity of the home and requires less maintenance.”
Neighbouring the future Greg Norman Golf Course, Aspect is also in close proximity to the Gledswood Hills Primary School and the proposed Gledswood Village, the retail and entertainment heart of the community, set to deliver a vibrant main street with cafes, restaurants, a swim school and a Country Club.
