Active Kids Outdoor Programs
Keep the kids active these July school holidays with the City of Ryde's Active Kids program.
One popular activity is the Parkour Workshops at Meadowbank Park, where children aged 5 to 12 can learn to climb, jump and balance through fun obstacle-based challenges while building confidence, coordination and fitness.
Running throughout the NSW school holidays from 6 to 17 July, the program offers a great way for local families to spend time outdoors and stay active.

Winter fun at your local library
Ryde and West Ryde Libraries have an exciting program of events running throughout the NSW school holidays from Monday 6 July to Friday 17 July 2026.
A highlight of this year's program is the Walangari Diramu Aboriginal Dance and Didgeridoo Performance, where children can experience traditional Aboriginal culture through music, storytelling and interactive dance.
Young superheroes can also get creative at the Drop-in Superhero Craft sessions, while children aged eight and over can test their skills with the interactive Fruit Ninja VR Experience, bringing the popular game to life in a virtual reality environment.
Activities will be held across Ryde Library, 1 Pope Street, Ryde, and West Ryde Library, 2 Graf Avenue, West Ryde, with a range of free and low-cost events available for local families.
