Saving energy and costs
Leading independent Environmentally Sustainable Design consultants, Efficient Living, conducted a thorough ‘Whole of Home’ assessment of SHINKA II to confirm its net zero status. Using household modelling, the report found that the home achieves zero annual energy consumption, costs, and emissions, with estimated annual running costs of negative $151.
The energy surplus generated by SHINKA II is a result of its advanced solar panel and battery system, estimated to offset 3.53 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
“Demand for homes with solar and battery technologies is increasing, as buyers seek lower energy bills and reduced emissions”, says Haylea Edwards Head of Residential Services at Efficient Living. “Our detailed analysis of SHINKA II highlights the strong performance of its advanced solar and battery systems in reducing electricity consumption. SHINKA II demonstrates how integrating smart energy solutions can make a meaningful contribution to sustainability.”
