The Orchards wins TUD Awards: Excellence in Design Innovation 2020

The Orchards Norwest by Sekisui House was honoured to be awarded as the winner of The Urban Developer Awards - Excellence in Design Innovation. 

This project features design innovation elements throughout; 

• Natural features of the site have been maintained, with a variety of building forms melding with the natural landscape elements of the site, including existing flora and fauna and the site’s natural watercourse.
• Solar panels spanning the size of 24 tennis courts across 6,000sqm, will give the entire community 1GWh of free solar power every year for use in the common areas and site facilities.

• The Orchard’s energy solution will reduce carbon emissions and have the equivalent effect of planting around 15,000 trees per year.

This award recognises innovation in project design through architecture, urban design, construction, engineering or landscape architecture.
