Some of the last waterfront on Parramatta River is now available and affordable, with today’s official launch of Sanctuary by Sekisui House.

Recently granted DA approval, this highly anticipated community development on the peninsula suburb of Wentworth Point, may be only 16kms from Sydney city, but it will deliver a serene oasis of green, open spaces for recreation, reflection and sustainable living for the whole precinct.

Landing, the first stage of Sanctuary, is a masterplanned community development of 364 one, two and three-bedroom luxury apartments, 16 terraced family homes and 12 two-storey maisonettes.  Each has a northerly aspect, with a contemporary, sensitive design to maximise water views and capitalise on its unique position where the river, wetlands and parklands meet.

Openness and light, convenience and flexibility are inbuilt in each home’s design, with generous floor plans, superior finishes, privacy and height adding to Landing’s luxurious lifestyle offering.

Located in Sydney’s geographical centre, Sanctuary is close to Parramatta, Rhodes, Sydney Olympic Park and surrounding suburbs, with close proximity to shopping centres, amenities, schools and entertainment. It enjoys transport options of the ferry on its doorstep, bus and train services and a proposed light rail to Parramatta.

Landing will play an important role in building Wentworth Point's newest community. Its unique position, with the confluence of the river, green parklands and natural wetlands makes it a true sanctuary and a place of reflection and serenity.

Promoting easy and healthy interaction with nature has been integral to the thinking behind Landing's design. Community connection and a connection with nature at Sanctuary will set the benchmark for urban living in the future.

Generous parklands, a running track, a series of landscaped rooftop gardens and other considered outdoor features will provide a gentle transition between work and play, providing a healthy and balanced lifestyle for those lucky enough to live there.

Active and passive spaces in The Inner Sanctum of Sanctuary will include a swimming pool and gym, exercise spaces, sauncs and spas, a movie room and community rooms of various sizes.

A re-energised, disused wharf will become a riverside pavilion called Sanctuary Water House and a collection of micro-venue River Rooms will be available to the community for activities of their choosing.

The public can walk, cycle, run or relax in The Origin Trail, which will take them along the river front, wetlands and parklands. Puppy owners can exercise with their best friend in the dedicated Puppy Park.

Sanctuary’s Sharing Shed will bring together like-minded people to learn, create and exchange ideas and encourage re-use, interaction and education.

“Now, more than ever in our busy lives, a connection between nature and the community is vital and we apply this thinking in every development we design,” said Paul Wainwright Sekisui House sales and marketing operations manager.

“We are confident that Sanctuary’s Landing will benchmark the standards of quality in public and private spaces, with more and more people wanting a home that provides convenience, access, balance and calm in their lives.”
