The NSW State Government recently announced that they will proceed with Stage 2 of Parramatta Light Rail, committing to $602.4 million to start works and commence a detailed planning process to move ahead with the Western Sydney megaproject.

Minister for Infrastructure, Cities and Active Transport Rob Stokes said the funding would go towards early works and building the Wentworth Point Bridge, while detailed planning for the next stage gets underway.

The NSW State Government’s commitment to fund a bridge between Melrose Park and Wentworth Point as part of the future light rail line will not only provide certainty to communities and businesses but will also improve connectivity for residents within the Wentworth Point area.

Sanctuary by Sekisui House has proactively taken this into consideration with the masterplan designed to accommodate the future light rail line to wrap around the site. These actions further demonstrate Sanctuary’s vision to deliver a connected, vibrant lifestyle to its residents, as integrated light rail facilities will provide convenient connectivity to major local attractions and business hubs.
