Peters Ice Cream Is Established
Peters Artic Delicacy Co. Ltd became the trading name for the Queensland Operation. A new factory was needed and a site was acquired in Boundary Street, South Brisbane.
The company boasted that here it would build a factory, one of the best of it's kind in the world.

Tender Awarded
Eric Boden Architect, called for tenders for Peters Ice Cream Factory with Richard Wildridge and Co. of Sydney being the successful tenderers.

Construction Commenced On The Peters Ice Cream Cone Factory

More Construction Works

Peters Ice Cream Factory Closure
Nestle bought out Peters Ice Cream and closed the factory in West End. Absoe Building Equipment began operating at the site, until it fell into a state of disrepair following a fire in 2013.

Acquired By Sekisui House Australia
Developers Payce and Sekisui House Australia purchased the site, and West Village was proposed.

State Government Project Approval
A project comprising of a mix of residences set within a retail, lifestyle and cultural precinct was approved by the State Government in 2016.

Stage Two Commenced
Arcadia North Gallery Residences were completed, with construction soon to commence on Arcadia South Gallery.

Green Star Accreditation
We are thrilled to be awarded a 6 Star Green Star Community accreditation in 2017.

Stage One Completed
Stage One of West Village was completed and included the Park and Lexington residences, as well as The Common parklands.
QLD State Library
West Village had the pleasure of partnering with the Queensland State Library for a 'research reveals' project. Place Making Fellow Tricia King, recently shared insights from her research on the Peters Ice Cream Factory.

Peters Ice Cream Factory Restoration Complete
The West Village team completed the careful restoration of the Peters Ice Cream Factory, which will soon be home to retailers and flexible office space in mid 2021.

West Village Retail Precinct
Phase 1 of our exciting retail precinct launched in early 2021 with plenty of food, dining, and shopping options. More retailers are set to open in mid-2021.

Arcadia South Gallery Is completed
Construction is completed on the stage two residences within the Arcadia Galleries.

Altura Construction Commences
Construction commences for 147 luxury wellness residences, due for completion in 2023.

The Eaves Is Completed
A health and wellness hub, the Eaves, is completed at West Village. Featuring wellness practitioners, medical providers and spa relaxation on the upper levels, with three restaurants just below.

Allere Uno & Duo Construction Commences
Construction commences on the Allere Collection featuring two connected vertical communities with 203 residences, Uno and Duo, designed to nourish the soul.

Green Star Accreditation
We are delighted to have received a 6 Star Green Star Community recertification in November 2022.

Greenhouse Commercial Is Completed
An 8-storey commercial offering, the Greenhouse, is completed at West Village. Providing connectivity, amenity, and sustainability initiatives throughout.

Garden Pavilion Is Completed
Construction completed on the final stage of the retail and dining precinct opened for business in April 2023 with Ippin Japanese Dining, followed by Rich & Rare in September 2023.

Altura Is Completed
Construction completed in September 2023 on the 147 luxury residences designed with well-being and comfort in mind.
