Building More Than Homes: Sekisui House Supports St Laurence House in Kingsford
On 26 February 2026, the Sekisui House Australia team proudly partnered with the Property Industry Foundation (PIF) and St Laurence House (SLH) to help revitalise a home supporting young people experiencing homelessness in Kingsford, NSW.
The property provides medium-term accommodation for young people aged 12–17, offering stability during a critical stage of their lives to support their transition toward independence. The home is part of PIF’s program, which brings together the property and construction industry to build and refurbish homes for vulnerable youth across Australia.
Working Bee is an initiative PIF have put together that lets businesses offer their support in making a difference. Our working bee focused on helping to further enhance the home’s environment creating a welcoming, safe and uplifting space for the young people who live there.
Our team rolled up their sleeves to tackle gardening, general clean-ups and hands-on improvements around the property. Whether refreshing outdoor spaces, assembling furniture or assisting with finishing touches, every contribution played a part in strengthening the home’s sense of care and comfort.

At Sekisui House, building better communities goes beyond construction. Youth homelessness remains a critical issue in Australia, and organisations like St Laurence House provide vital medium-term accommodation that gives young people the stability and support they need to rebuild their futures.
We are incredibly grateful to the team members who dedicated their time and energy to the working bee, as well as to PIF and SLH for the important work they continue to lead. It was a privilege to contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact on the lives of young people in our community!
